The NieNie Dialogues
A Very good friend of mine wrote a post on her blog about the NieNie Dialogues. She suggested that everyone should try and read them that they would change your life. And since I have such an abundant amount of time on my hands I decided it give them a shot.
BOY AM I GLAD THAT I DID!
The NieNie Dialogues are written by Stephanie Nielson. The dialogues are about her daily struggles as she works toward her recovery after a surviving an airplane crash. She is an amazing women and although she faces mighty struggles threw the physical therapy, Rehabilitation, and surgery after surgery her faith never wavers. Her love for her family, her love for her husband, her love for life and her optimism are truly inspiring. What an amazing women, she is. I would highly recommend reading her story if you have the time, you wont be disappointed.

Washington DC Temple
The Washington DC temple has become my favorite temple over the last few weeks. I am not sure if it is because it’s a little piece of home or just a sence of comfort knowing that even though Maryland is a different state on the complete opposite side of the country the church is always the same. So weather you’re in Idaho Falls or DC when you’re within the temple walls you always feel like you are home.
The Washington DC temple is placed in the most amazing position that makes it a beacon not only for LDS members but also for anyone who drives by. In Maryland the trees are so dense that it is impossible to see any land marks from the 4-5 lane freeway. But then all of a sudden the road makes a bend and there it is, stark white, creeping up above the lush greenery. Amongst the rush and craziness of the world there it is, something so undeniably true that just the sight of it is a testimony builder.

Since my husband Jon’s job requires us to live in Maryland for the next few months, and I find my self with a HUGE amount of free time I have decided to make it my goal to go to the temple at least once a week. I figure that I might as well take advantage of this time to get more familiar with the work that is done at the temple. Although I wish Jon were able to come with me when I go, I have met and made some very good friends just in the two weeks that I have been working on this goal. I have so much to be thankful for, and so much more to learn and I know that serving my heavenly father is the best way not only to thank him for all that he has done for me, but to learn and strengthen my testimony.

The National Zoo

This is the Momma Gorilla and the Baby! So very cute. probably the cutest thing that i have ever seen. The momma Gorilla is so loving, they way that she holds on to her little baby and proudly shows her to all of the huge crowds that come to visit is so adorable.
